Our Community

With philanthropy and affiliations, we believe actions speak louder than words. Part of our company's strategic mission is to use our experience, passion, knowledge and leadership to support community service and philanthropic initiatives globally.

Janalent's current affiliations and sponsorships include the following initiatives and groups:

Janalent Service Days
Each quarter, the Janalent team chooses an organization and assists them through targeted philanthropic goals. Janalent matches donations raised through our technology events for these organizations and provides employees with as many as eight hours per quarter of extra vacation time for dedicated community service. We're proud to have worked with Las Vegas' Opportunity Village, Shade Tree women's, children's and pet shelter, and Toys for Tots.

The American Democracy Institute
Janalent's CEO and president, Anne Chahal, was inducted into the American Democracy Institute's (ADI) prestigious leadership council in 2009 in recognition of her experience, mentorship and leadership. The American Democracy Institute is a non-partisan organization that assembles accomplished leaders who combine high-performance enterprise with thoughtful public-minded citizenship to share their experiences and mentor our country's next generation of leaders. ADI leadership and board members include leaders in the highest levels of government, business, non-profit and academia. Janalent sponsored ADI's 2009/2010 Women's Leadership Program and is working to help ADI achieve its vision using technology.

Clinton Global Initiative
In 2009, former U.S. President Bill Clinton invited Janalent CEO and President Anne Chahal to join the Clinton Global Initiative, recognizing her vision of an innovative model that integrates philanthropy with business, across industries. The Clinton Global Initiative is a non-partisan venue where business, government and civil-sector leaders work together to plan and launch results-oriented programs to address global economic, environmental and social challenges. Chahal attended the invitation-only CGI Summit in 2009 and, with Janalent's support, will formally launch a pilot commitment in 2010. Long-term commitment goals include working with more than 50 organizations that benefit women and children globally, by providing an innovative mentorship and training alliance, donated or discounted technology solutions, and a volunteer & funding network.

Heaven Can Wait Sanctuary
Heaven Can Wait Animal Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating the senseless euthanasia of more than 40,000 animals annually in southern Nevada. A leader in education about the principles of responsible pet ownership, HCWS has saved thousands of animals through its sterilization, rescue and rehabilitation programs including: The Feral Cat Clinic, controlling the overpopulation and suffering of feral cats; Ground Zero, offering affordable spay and neuter programs; It's the Pits, focusing on sterilization of Pit Bull and Pit-mixed breeds; Tales to Tails, fostering children's literacy using trained dogs; and Pups on Parole, pairing homeless rescue animals with inmates in local correctional facilities for rehabilitation and reintroduction into society.

In June 2009, HCWS opened a high-volume, low-cost spay and neuter clinic as part of its W.A.R. project (War Against Reproduction) to control overpopulation and reduce the number of unwanted pets in Las Vegas. The clinic is the first of its kind in Las Vegas.
